2002 Breeders Cup Juvenile — Vindication

Bob Baffert called him the most exciting 2-year-old he’s ever trained and believed Vindication could break the long Triple Crown drought. Baffert was reportedly devastated when Vindication was hurt, and never raced again after the Breeders Cup. He was undefeated and untested in 4 starts, the 2-year-old champion, and resembled his sire Seattle Slew quite a bit in appearance and running style. This juvenile was run at 1 1/8 miles, not the standard 1 1/16.

Cigar – 1995 Breeders Cup Classic

The 1995 Breeders Cup Classic won in a blazing 1:59.58 by the amazing Cigar. Just listen to the THUNDERING hoofbeats on the backstretch and turn; what a sound! I really liked the camera work for this race, too.
